How to Use

Diffuser

In a diffuser, use 3-5 drops for small rooms (up to 200 sq. ft.), 5-8 drops for medium rooms (200-400 sq. ft.), and 8-12 drops for large rooms (400 sq. ft. and up). Diffuse for 30-60 minutes, 2-3 times daily, preferably in the morning or when focus is needed.

Topical

For topical applications, dilute basil essential oil to 2-3% for adults (12-18 drops in 1 oz of carrier oil), for children to 0.5-1% (3-6 drops), and for the elderly to 1-2% (6-12 drops). Massage into areas of tension and skin concerns. Absorption may take several minutes.

Inhalation

For direct inhalation, place 1-2 drops on a tissue or your hands and breathe deeply. For steam inhalation, add 2-3 drops into hot water and inhale the steam for 5-10 minutes. Personal inhalers can also be made using a few drops on cotton wicks.

Safety & Precautions

Safety Guidelines

Always perform a patch test before topical application to assess for sensitivity. Basil oil can cause photosensitivity; avoid sun exposure for 12 hours after topical use. Consult a healthcare professional if pregnant or nursing, or if you are taking medications as interactions may occur. Store in a cool, dark place, ideally in a glass container. Shelf life is typically around 2-3 years if stored properly.

Who Should Avoid
  • ⚠️ Individuals with epilepsy or seizure disorders.
  • ⚠️ Pregnant women, particularly in the first trimester.
