How to Use
For small rooms, use 3-5 drops; for medium, use 5-8 drops; for large, use 8-12 drops. Optimal diffusion duration is 30-60 minutes per session, and it can be used 2-3 times daily. Mornings are ideal for an energy uplift, while evenings are better for stress relief.
For adults, dilute Elemi oil to 2-3% using carrier oils like jojoba or sweet almond oil. For children, dilute to 0.5-1%, and for the elderly, 1-2%. Apply on pulse points or aching areas, allowing for absorption time of 10-15 minutes post-application.
For direct inhalation, place 1-2 drops on a tissue or your hands, cup over your nose, and breathe deeply. For steam inhalation, add 2-3 drops to hot water and lean over it for 5-10 minutes. Personal inhalers can also be made for on-the-go soothing.
Safety & Precautions
Always perform a patch test before extensive topical application. Elemi oil may cause sensitivity; thus, avoid sunlight after use to prevent photosensitivity. Pregnant or nursing women should consult a healthcare provider before use, as well as anyone on medications. Store the oil in a cool, dark place, and the shelf life is typically 1-2 years when stored properly.
