How to Use
For optimal diffusion, use 3-5 drops of galbanum oil for small rooms, 5-8 drops for medium spaces, and 8-12 drops for large areas. Diffuse for 30-60 minutes, 2-3 times daily. Best times for use are in the evening to promote relaxation.
Adult dilution should be 2-3% (10-15 drops per ounce of carrier oil). Children should use a 0.5-1% dilution (2-3 drops per ounce). For the elderly, reduce dilution to 1-2%. Common carrier oils include jojoba, sweet almond, and coconut. Massage gently into the skin, allowing time for absorption.
For direct inhalation, place 1-2 drops on a tissue or your palm and breathe in deeply. For steam inhalation, add 2-3 drops to a bowl of hot water and inhale steam for 5-10 minutes. Personal inhaler sticks can be made for convenient and on-the-go use.
Safety & Precautions
Always perform a patch test prior to topical application. Avoid using galbanum essential oil during the first trimester of pregnancy. Potential photosensitivity may occur; avoid sun exposure for 12 hours after topical use. Store in a cool, dark place and keep out of reach of children.
